A ‘GO-TO-MARKET’ FAMILY FARM BRAND THAT CELEBRATES IT’S ROOTS

Dwight Eisenhower once said, “Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil, and you’re a thousand miles from the cornfield.” In spite of this notion, as the design team partnering with farm-owners, Brooke Remmers and Sam Ehrenfeld, we were eager to step beyond the desk and get our hands (and shoes) dirty while creatively developing the Schoolhouse farm brand.

The Schoolhouse Farm is an organic agricultural farm that specializes in local and sustainably raised meats, vegetables, and eggs in East Calais, Vermont. Looking to differentiate their unique position alongside several outstanding Vermont farms, we strategically worked together to cultivate the farm name, aesthetic, and overall brand identity.

The hand-drawn logo depicts the namesake building – a classic one-room schoolhouse located on the land in East Calais. It breathes unique life into the brand; carrying the story of the farm’s inception and infusing a rich sense of place and nostalgia.

You can dig up more about the Schoolhouse Farm story and offerings on their website. Thank you to Outsider Media for the outstanding photography that brings this brand to life.
