NAMING, LOGO, AND IDENTITY DESIGN FOR AN APP THAT CREATES A MARKETPLACE WITHIN LINES
Subline is an app created for consumers to effectively value & price their time, and subsequently, buy & sell the wait times for high demand scenarios. From daily situations, such as the dinner line for Chicago’s best burger, to unique instances like the introduction of the new Jordan shoe, Subline provides the supply for those demanding to save time.
Proportion worked directly with company founders to develop naming, identity, and primary messaging for the new technology. The name “Subline” comes out of the secondary line arising within a long queue – a line of people using the app, associating values on their location from the front. The app gives users the ability to swap spaces in line with a sub.
The color palette is a refreshing deviation from the ubiquitous blues and greens in the tech space. The icon is created from two arrows, one forward and one back that come together in agreement, creating an S.
Waiting in lines can be a waste of time.
Subline values time.
